Stretch to Release Tight Hamstrings

Are your hamstrings tight, causing you pain and reducing your flexibility?  Did you realize when your hamstrings (the muscles in the back top of your legs) are tight, it can effect joints both up and down your body? For example, when your hamstrings at tight, they can pull at your lower back causing low back pain.  The can also pull on the back of the knee which can cause knee pain and even ankle and foot issues.Yes...the body is so brilliant.  It's all connected so when you have tight contracted muscles (or bound fascia and connective tissue) in one area of the body...rest assured there are other areas in your body being affected. This stretch will only take you about 3 minutes to do.  But trust me...it WORKS!!!  Do it at least 2 times on each leg.  Your hamstrings will release. Will they remain released?  I believe it depends on how long they've been contracted.  I had a very tight right hamstring and I couldn't get it to relax.  I got chiropractic adjusts all the time.  That right hamstring will feel better for about an hour and then boom...back up it tightened.I had this issue for at least 6 months!!!  It completely relaxed the first time I did this stretch.  I couldn't believe it.  It did begin to tighten up again so I did it again the next day and again on day three.Guess what?  It never again has bothered me.Try it out and please come back and leave me a comment about how it's also helped you release your hamstrings.Want more stretch?  Click here and take a live Relax and Release Stretch class with me.  You deserve it!
